Despite their close geographical proximity, the signal boxes at Cottesloe Beach (later renamed Mosman Park) and Buckland Hill did exist at the same time as both were included in the list entitled "Switching in of Intermediate Signal Boxes." published on Page 1337 of Weekly Notice 49 / 1918.

This station opened with the name of Cottesloe Beach, being renamed on 1st of July 1931 as Buckland Hill and subsequently renamed again on 1st of November 1937 as Mosman Park.

On the 12th of June 1946 the existing Signal box was closed and operations were transferred to a new signal box in the Station Building.
